***IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A BOOK BAG, JUST SEND ZIPPY FOLDER AS YOU DID PREVIOUSLY***
Hello boys & girls & parents,
I am so excited to say that this is our last week of home learning. I really can't wait to see you all in Year 1 on Monday 8th March. I have attached a 'Return to school' letter with a few reminders as it has been a very long time since you were in school. I wonder will all the uniforms still fit?
Our live this week is on Wednesday 3rd March at 10am. As Thursday is World Book Day I thought we would incorporate this in our live session. Once you have watched Mrs Foy's video in the Video Resource Centre you will see some of the activities for this week. There are also some on your timetable. For our live you can choose which you want to share. It could be your potato turned into your favourite book character. Your book character selfies, your favourite book character or a picture of who you like to read with. Maybe you would like to come along dressed as a book character! I can't wait to see what you bring along. Please send a photo of what you want to share by 8pm on Tuesday evening & I will put this up for everyone to see. If you take up the challenge of reading somewhere unusual don't forget to send a photo of that too. I will be doing a book character quiz so make sure you put your thinking hats on!
World Book day is Thursday 4th March. Mrs Foy has been very busy sorting some fun activities for everyone. Have a look in the Video Resource Centre to see the video she has made explaining everything. We have a whole school competition. Children can try to 'Guess the Teacher's Favourite Book'. You should send your entries to Mrs Foy. Email address on the bottom of competition sheet on class page. Each class is running a competition. You can either draw your favourite book character (in your Jotter/on the page in link) or create a potato book character (See photos below). Please send your entry in to my email address by 4pm on Thursday. There will be a prize for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. Also, keep an eye out for some special stories from Year 7, the teachers & local author, Ryan Wilson. All of these can be found in the World Book Day section of the Video Resource Centre. ENJOY!
Keep up the great work boys and girls. We just have to wait a little while longer and we will all be back together in Year 1.
Please get in touch if I can help in any way.
