Hello Year 5 & parents,
Thank you to everyone that participated in our virtual Sports' Day last week. I loved seeing all your photos and videos that were sent in. It looks like everyone had great fun. Congratulations to Sam Little and James Johnston on being joint overall winners. Also Well done to Evie Clinging for being the overall girl winner.
It was lovely to talk with some of you over this past week, those I have not contacted I will be in touch in this coming week.
This is the last week of written work you will all be glad to know. There are no spellings this week or comprehension. I have included a minibeast Literacy activity instead which I would love you all to try. Feel free to watch the videos I have uploaded on minibeasts also. I will be uploading fun, practical activities in the last week so please check your class page for details of this.
On Thursday 25th June Year 5 parents are asked to come into school between 9.00am - 3.00pm to collect the remainder of your child's work and their school report.
If your child has siblings at school please come on the date that corresponds with the eldest child. Access school through the main entrance, use hand sanitising station, follow a one way system into assembly hall and exit the fire door beside the kitchen. Please adhere to social distancing rules keeping at least 2 metres apart. If periods are particularly busy a queue system will operate, controlled via the office. If you could also return all Maths, Comprehension, Grammar & Focus on Literacy textbooks on that day it would be much appreciated. Please enclose them in a bag with your child's name clearly marked on the front. I will be in school on Thursday 22nd and hopefully will see some of you.
Please feel free to continue to send me photos of your learning or a piece of work you are proud of. I would like to extend my thanks for your continued support over the past months.
