Week 5 -08/02/21

Hello Year 5,

It was really lovely to see you all join in for our first 'Live meet' on Friday. It went really well and hopefully you all enjoyed playing Mental Maths games with your friends. I plan to have our next 'Live meet' at the same time next Friday @ 10am. You will find the link on our class page 15 minutes before the session starts. We plan to share our work on Health Week so you can have a think about what you would like to share with the rest of the class. If you could send me a picture of some of your Health Week activities by Thursday Evening I can upload these during our 'Live meet' so everyone can see.

As it is Health Week in school some of your Literacy and Maths activities have been adapted around this. I have uploaded some activities as PDF's. I appreciate some people may not have access to a printer to print these off. If this is the case, just read it from the screen and write into your Literacy or Maths book. There are also some fun links to fitness videos and healthy snack ideas. Feel free to send me pictures of you doing any of these.

On Tuesday it is Internet Safety day. Please watch the video link I have below. Discuss with your child the importance of staying safe on line.

Thank you to everyone that has sent me examples of their great work at home. Continue to send these through each week and I will provide feedback. You are all doing a brilliant job Year 5 so keep working hard.

Unfortunately our return to school has been delayed for a little while longer. This means that I need to send home some extra worksheets and resources. You can come and collect these extra packs on Friday 12th between 9am - 3pm from the School Assembly Hall. Please wear a face mask and enter via the Main door and exit from the side door in the Hall. Resources will be laid out in family groups by the eldest child. Most of your work can be found on the Year 5 table unless you have a sibling in Year 7.

It is nearly our half-term break boys and girls. I'm sure you are all looking forward to a well earned rest from Home Learning. Next week there will only be work set for Monday and Tuesday.

I hope you have a good week of learning this week.
